I think that the location was excellent and the apartment was very nice.

Even though the property managers said that there was parking the area was very small. One of the employees said that it would have been fine had I had a Fiat 500. Parking is not easy to find in Ostuni.

Location was as advertised.

No working heat upon arrival. Snippy response from management as to my competence to follow directions to activate heat. After explaining to the property exactly what I had done to activate heat (following directions) I received no response for about 1 hour. I contacted Booking.com at a UK phone number as directed. Only after this contact with Booking.com did the property respond. Despite an international calling plan the call to the UK was not covered resulting in a $53.73 charge to my cellular plan (International plan only covers calls to home country, in this case U.S., and country in which you are located, in this care Italy). I informed Booking.com of this and received no response. The problem with the heat turned out to be a a tripped circuit breaker which after a late visit from the managers of the property was corrected. This problem had apparently occurred in the past. Another problem was found with the water heater which was not capable of providing hot water for more than one shower and needed at least a couple of hours to reheat in order to provide enough hot water for a brief period. Finally we were not aware of an online check in process that the property required. This did not work. Upon the managers visit to correct the heating issue they admitted previous difficulties with the website used to checkin. Given these difficulties I can not recommend this property. Also given the unreimbursed $53.73 change I incurred to activate the heat from a unresponsive property manager, I will no longer utilize the booking.com platform which I have used for the past 9-10 years.

Perfect location and stoning view

The apartment is nice and very comfortable. It is also well located, a short walk from the old town, near the bus to the train station. Alessandra, the agent, was very nice and helpful, responded quickly.

The cutlery is terrible. The knives couldn’t even cut cheese. A small detail that could easily be improved. Disposal of garbage is not very clear. A microwave would be nice but is not essential.
