Excellent and clean house near in the Matera Sassi!

Very well located a short walk to the Sassi areas. Street parking was free and close by. The apartment was furnished to the highest standards, comfortable and well appointed.

Beautifully appointed and spacious 2-bedroom apartment with very high ceilings within walking distance to the Sassi. Luciana was an excellent host and very responsive. Kitchen was fully equipped, beds very comfortable, and spacious bathroom with washing machine. Binder with all pertinent info was provided which also included recommended restaurants. Baccus and Madame Giulia were excellent restaurants within walking distance of apt. Recommend taking tour of Matera with Andrea (motorized “ape” 3-wheel mini vehicle) - business cards available in apt. Fortunate to get parking on side street to apt and didn’t need it as everything is within walking distance. Highly recommend La Casa del Generale.

No elevator, so be prepared to haul up suitcases to 2nd level of bldg.

Central location but a quite street. Spacious apartment complete with everything you need. Clean and well maintained. Parking is available around the building (just be prepared to pay for it).

The single AC unit in the living room might not be enough for very hot summer nights. It was fine for us.

The property was in a good location to the main attraction.

Property was not ready when we arrived. We waited outside for 15 min before the property owner let us in. Beds were not made when we arrived. It was a hot day when we checked in and the air conditioner was barely working. It was very warm in the apartment.

Everything is great about this apartment: security, cleanliness, and location. One thing to note, the wi-fi password is in lower case letters, don't believe the host's scribbles; also, the password is written on the back side of the modem.
