Lanka Holiday home

Location was great. Very central, walking distance from beach and lots of great restaurants and shopping. Air conditioning worked great and the water pressure and hot water in the shower was perfect. Also parasols and beach mats were available for use which was very helpful. Lots of towels provided. The flat itself is very comfortable and has lots of character.

The apartment faces a busy piazza including a loud bar that is open until 2am, which may not suit all travellers. We had to buy small items like salt, pepper and sugar - it would have been helpful to have these already supplied. We also had to restock our toilet paper. Similarly for a one week stay I would have expected a cleaner on day 3 or 4.

It was located right in the heart of Tropea so easy access to all the main spots. The front door was well hidden away from the bustling area too.

We were unable to park closeby which meant walking our suitcases 10 minutes through the extremely busy streets. We wouldn't have minded if we knew beforehand but we didn't find this out until we arrived and were fined for driving on a road which they don't allow vehicles to use at certain times. Also, they didn't provide any toilet paper or hand soap so we had to go out to buy tissues and soap which, after a 5 and a half hour drive and at 10pm, wasn't exactly what we wanted!

The location is perfectly situated close to the center of all the action. The layout of the two rooms are perfect.
