Niria Home

The apartment is just opposite the sea. Very comfortable if travelling with kids. There is a wooden platform to reach the water and it is straightaway deep. Otherwise there is a small stream with volcanic sand to paddle in before swimming. Jelly shoes are strongly recommended. The little village is very popular with the locals so expect people at all hours. There are loads of restaurants, bars, cafes, playgrounds and lidos. The property has air conditioning and amazing terrace to enjoy the view from in the afternoon and night. It is too hot during the day and umbrella are not allowed for safety reasons ( they can fly apparently). You can look at the sea also from the main window in the entry hall which is fantastic. The apartment is equipped with all the basic minus washing machine. We really enjoyed our stay but we also knew what to expect: a bursting local life. The owner is a lovely person, friendly, generous and caring but expect to meet him at least twice a day because he cleans the stairs and terrace every day, takes cares of the rubbish/recycling and waters the plants in the terrace every evening.

The apartment is on the same level with the main road so traffic noises can be overwhelming if you are looking for a quiet place.. Although, there are not restrictions on groups or parties ( I checked before booking), the owner was not happy with us inviting some friends on the terrace one night.

A great apartment right by the sea - a perfect place for families with children. And the host - Andrea - simply wonderful!

The only drawback (although very minor) is poor wifi.

Niria Home is a great place in Catania, I would say an island of paradise in this city. Lovely and cozy home, which has everything you could need in everyday life. The amazing view on the sea adds more to the charm of the place. Since we had access to the terrace, we could enjoy this beautiful sea view. Niria Home is located in a nice and peaceful place, exactly next to the beach with black sand. Andrea is the most wonderful and responsive host that I've ever met. I am happy that Niria Home was our choice. Thank you very much!

We really enjoyed our stay at Niria Home. Everything is as you can see in the pictures and with great host Andrea as a bonus:) You have a public beach accross the street, you have private roof when you can rest after swimming in the sea, AC in the living room and bedroom is working nicely and quietly, bus station to the city center is in walking distance, same as nice grocery store and several restaurants and if you rent a car you can park nearby and see the car from kitchen window.

The owner was realy kind and I have never meet somebody with such hospitality. He was here for us everytime. The appartment is comfortable and we had everything, we wandted there. We had a beach just right in front of apartment. We are very satisfied.
