Its a tough walk back up that hill, best to stop for refreshment! But all expected so no problem

The apartment is beautiful. It is nicely decorated. It was clean except for alot of ants on the balcony. The views are amazing. The host was responsive. She met on check in to give us the keys and explain the procedure and met us on check out to receive back the keys as well. It is a property with multiple apartments. They all seem to have balconies. Some have a jacuzzi on the balcony. Ours was a two level balcony. It did not have a jacuzzi but i wish it did b/c the lower level seem a waste of space, only having an outdoor shower and a chair. Booked for 3 people Got a 1 bedroom and a sofa bed. Now for the downside. Even though the views are great, it is high up the mountain and taxi to get from the port to the apartment charge $30-40. There is a walk from the port where you get off the ferry, to where cars are able to drive. You can't just get up the boat and jump in a taxi. Taxis can't come all the way down to the port. There is a journey to road where cars drive and that journey is up hill and parts of it are up steps. If you have alot of bags you may have to pay a porter to carry them up for you. The porter charges $15 per bag. They only carry your bags. You will still have to walk up hill to the taxi stand and take a taxi. So that means you pay the taxi and the porter. My suggestion is to book early and stay somewhere lower down the mountain. Positano fills up from the bottom to the top. I only stayed here b/c I booked last minute and the only places available were the places way up the mountain. All the places in Positano has great views. When you stay way up the mountain You spend too much money and time going up and down. Its nearly $40 each way to get to restaurant , shops, and the beach. They have a bus but it's was a bit complicated figuring out the timing and the bus can get very crowded.

There are steps going down but it's is ALOT of steps. People on other reviews said it is a 20 minute walk down so my fam and I tried it. We decided we will walk down the steps and take taxis up when we are returning at night to save money. It was terrible! There are so many steps and so Positano is extremely hot in August. We were dying going down the steps. And it was more than 20 minutes. Also the road is narrow and there are no side walks so f you are waiting on the bus, you are standing at the side of a very narrow two way street with cars coming around the corner at you. Its just a little unsafe. The views are great from the apartment balcony but I don't think the views are worth the hassle if you have another alternative with similar views lower down the mountain. If you book last minute yes it's worth it, if your planning early enough ahead, pick somewhere closer to the port. It has a full kitchen so if you want to buy groceries and cook stay in and just relax and enjoy the views then yes it's worth it. If you don't plan to be up and down everyday. Finally, I kinda felt like the host and her friend husled me. (I dont know if she is the host or just the manager of the property. They shut down the ferry due to rain, the day I was checking out. I was to take the ferry to naples to catch a train to venice. Because of no ferry, I decided to take a taxi to sorrento where I could catch a train to naples. She call her friend with a cab and they spoke in Italian, she told me he said 170 euros. And she wanted me to decided right away. Say yes now or or it's never she kept telling me. Taxis are scarce so you have to say yes now. So before I had a chance to think it through or call for taxi myself to geta another price quote, I just agreed. So he picked us up. When we got to sorrento he told us the price is 185 euros. When we said that's not the price the host told us while she was on the phone with you, he insisted Charging 185 euros.

We love the view from the balcony. Appartment smell so good linen was so clean and fresh. The swimming pool was big plus and it's really nice and clean. We would like to mention how wonderful was Lucia helping us with booking taxis and gave us many other great tips about Amalfi coast . If you need anything please ask her she was so detailed and awesome.

We really didn't have anything that we didn't like. Our stay was so wonderful that we can't wait to come back and would love to stay again at Fior Di Lino

transportation in Positano wasn’t good generally speaking and this property located in upper positano so was hard to get to the centre. it was either taxi for 20-30€ per trip, or bus which was super crowded and I don’t like or about 45min walk or have your own car but it’ll cost you 30€ for parking ticket per night
