Casa Cleone

A flight of stairs up and you are in the middle of the main tourist area. Really enjoyed the beautiful town and many excellent restaurants. The room is compact but nicely furnished, although a few too many vases, fake plants and knickknacks for my taste. I’m a solo traveler so had enough room; a couple would be challenged to find space for a 2nd suitcase. Bathroom is compact but modern and plenty of hot water in the shower. Kitchenette looked very functional—I would have made coffee but creamer wasn’t provided.

Strongly advise not arriving at the train station after dark like I did—the station was deserted, no taxi and the bus had stopped running. Walking up to town where Casa Cleone is would be very difficult and dangerous 2o to steep, windy road with speeding cars and no street lights or sidewalks. I ended up walking about 500 ft to a pizza place and the guy there was able to call a taxi to drive me up to town. Laura, the Casa Cleone owner, speaks limited English so she had a friend who is bilingual meet me and walk me to Casa Cleone which is on a non-driving alley. I would never have found the place on my own, especially since it was dark.

Laura replied very quickly when contacted, we were able to check in very early which was great.The bed was comfortable, the bathroom small but adequate with a good size shower.There were a few little snacks supplied as well as tea and coffee.It was close to many restaurants and places of interest.

Even though the apartment was down a lane away from the main street there isn't much privacy if you want to have the shutters open.It opens out onto a courtyard where there is a restaurant (being renovated while we were there) so maybe a bit of an issue for some people.

Obiekt nie oferował śniadania, ale miał małe zaplecze kuchenne wyposażone w najpotrzebniejsze rzeczy. Jego ogromną zaletą było zapewnienie gościowi prywatności. Kontakt z właścicielką miałem przez WhatsApp, ale poznaliśmy się też osobiście. Apartament mieści się w małym domku z wejściem wprost z urokliwego zaułku, nieopodal głównego deptaku w centrum miasta. W pobliżu restauracje, bary, cukiernie, niedaleko terminal autobusowy.

Die Unterkunft Casa Cleone liegt im Herzen von Taormina, so dass man alle Aussichtspunkte und Sehenswürdigkeiten fussläufig erreichen kann. Man ist inmitten von Bars und Restaurants und hat nicht weit zu den Geschäften. Dabei ist es aber trotzdem ruhig. Die Gastgeberin Laura ist herzlich und sehr aufmerksam und man fühlt sich wirklich willkommen. Wir hatten ein Problem und uns wurde spätabends noch geholfen. In der Unterkunft findet man Kaffee- und Teezubehör wie auch eine kleine Kochzeile mit Geschirr; Essig und Öl etc. Wir würden jederzeit wieder herkommen! Danke für alles!

The property is a small studio house with everything you need. It has a comfortable double bed, a nice bathroom with a large shower and hot water, and a small kitchenette with all the basic amenities. It is ideal for a single person or couple who want to stay in the centre of Taormina and enjoy everything the town has to offer. The house is located down a small street off Corso Umberto I, which is Taormina’s main shopping street and heart of the town, and is surrounded by restaurants. And Laura, the host, is very easy to communicate with and very contactable. I highly recommend this property.

Nuostabus butukas! Nors nedidelis, tačiau labai jaukus, švarus, gražiai ir praktiškai įrengtas. Įsikūręs pačiame senamiesčio centre, bet kartu ir labai tylioje vietoje. Patogi lova, puiki mini virtuvėlė. Šeimininkė pasirūpino net mažiausiomis detalėmis, kad atostogos būtų tobulos – ji buvo labai rūpestinga ir supratinga. Puikus kainos ir kokybės santykis!
