Casa antigua de varios pisos, amplia y muy agradable en un lugar muy "auténtico": un pueblo arriba en el monte, muy pintoresco. La casa esta en la plaza justo enfrente de la iglesia (normalmente puedes aparcar allí mismol, pero mas elevada (se suben unas escaleras), lo que hace que tenga vistas a las montañas; justo abajo hay una cafeteria/restaurante, tal vez la única del pueblo (yendo a pie), frecuentada por los lugareños, que te acojen muy bien a poco que les intentes hablar (o medio hablar) en italiano, no debiera ser un grane esfuerzo si hablas español. En todo caso es para quien vaya buscando una aventurilla eminentemente rural, o tal vez como yo un par de noches de descanso en ruta a otra parte, y no le estrese conducir por carreteras de montaña. Aparte del entorno cerca hay lugares de interés para visitar, como la ribera del lago Maggiore.

Nada, no hay queja, gran relación calidad precio.

The location was remote, but that was what we liked about it. Its situated in a small village in the mountains and its so beautiful the view, the village, the locals. Amazing location. And the house is huge ans very well furnished. It was like something out of an 18th century novel, in a good way.

There was only one bathroom, for all the people. We were in 5, so that was an issue.

We were already here for the second time and loved it as much as the first time. This house is no regular holiday apartment, it is someone’s home and you can feel it because while you’re there, it is YOUR home away from home. There is so much art in the house, it is wonderful to see, and we felt privileged to be able to enjoy it. Even though the weather was not ideal, as it quite often seems to be the case , we had a wonderful time in the house as it is extremely cozy. Gurro is quite an unusual town as it has a long Scottish heritage. This cannot be really felt, but we concluded it actually is the weather which is definitely Scottish here no matter the season.

While the house is really very fairly priced, I wonder if it would even enjoy more visitors if the prices would reflect also the number of guests who are renting …?

Great location, spacious property, great views, quiet

There is a little bit TLC overdue. Would still come back though.
