This is a great apartment to enjoy the 800m long golden beach, which runs from its door to the harbour at Porto Palo. The beach was nice and quiet during our stay in May, though that meant only one of the restaurants behind the beach was actually open. A short drive away is the excellent Ristorante da Vittorio (Sicily Unpacked on BBC with Locatelli and Graham-Dixon). The apartment is well equipped and has a stove and washing machine in the kitchen, a lounge, two bedrooms and a shower room. The bed was quite low but comfortable. The outdoor space has a table where you can enjoy your meals and a wood burning hot tub. You need a car but there is secure private parking; don't trust Google Maps with the address as it'll send you along to the Roxy Bar but the entrance is at the junction of Via Piemonte with Via Pisa - try Via Piemonte 14 (not 16). There is a small store nearby for odds and ends, but Penny in Menfi is only 10 min away and has everything you'll need. Giovanni was a great host providing a warm welcome and helpful advice.
