It was one of my best stays in Japan! The hosts (an older marriaged couple) are so so cute and lovely! It feels like family. They are so friendly and brought me to the Gandate Park (there are a lot of waterfalls) and the hot spring. The area around the guesthous is really quiet and there is not much to do. I liked to relax a bit and calm down at this place. There is a Lawson near to the guesthouse and you have a direct bus to Takayama and Gero Onsen.

I don’t think a host could be better. They had snacks prepped for breakfast and tea at night. They both literally drove me around the town and even paid for my lunch! Amazing experience and a very lovely couple running this guesthouse. Can’t recommend this place any more. A 30min train ride from Takayama but 100% worth it. Make sure to check out Gifu

The guesthouse is occupied by an elderly couple. Even if the communication was a bit difficult (They speak little english and I speak little japanese) they were always very kind and helpful. A free little breakfast was included every morning, and they washed and dried my clothes for me free of charge. All in all a very warm and welcoming service.

In my room I felt like theres coming wind trough the windows, even when I made sure that they're closed. I cought a little cold, but on the second night I used a little mobile heater which was available in the room and it was better.

Amazing hospitality. Superb traditional bed - slept like a baby.
