Ayaginu Machiya House

Clean, new. Nice bathroom, shower, washer. Quiet location within walking distance of Kyoto station.

Pillows and bedding comfortable but standard. would be nice if it were thicker padding.

Good location, clean, big enough

Very uncomfortable and small couch. No area for a family to sit together and relax.

Suitable for our family of 4 adults. Stairs may be a bit difficult for very young, or very tall. But we were fine.

We are a family of 5 adults and it was nice to have our own space on a quiet road. Near train/metro station. Reception facility very helpful in delivering/forwarding our bags.

House felt dark-but we had known that from the photos on Booking.com and we accepted it as we were out most of the time.

Lovely traditional japanese house.

Futon beds were wafer thin and sheets fell off. One pillow per person. Not a comfortable sleep.

Quite difficult to pick up the keys from another location on the other side of town

The location was very nice. The initial impression was fantastic with all the wood finish. The AC was going as soon as we got in was a nice touch. The rooms were spacious and the duel bathrooms was good for the 6 people we were traveling with.

The bath had tape on the window ledge as if it was damaged or they were in the middle of refinishing it. The wood and the tiling in the downstairs bath had black spots. If there as secure way of getting the passcode so that we do not have to go to once location and than travel to the final location to the apartment would be nice, but not necessary. The washer and dryer were difficult even though half of the group was native Japanese Nationals. I am not so it's hard for me to give details.
