Spacious, perfect location, the bathroom is renovated and the host is nice. Good value for the money.

As the property is on a main street, there is a lot of traffic and it is quite noisy. There is a bit of mold smell but I guess it is normal because you are in the historical center of the city and the buildings are old.

Awesome place. You are in the centre like the Teatro romano is across the street, the main square is like 2 minutes walk (so yes it´s a little noisy, but with ear plug no problem at all - and we travel always with them). The price for this location and this appartment is great. You have a lot of space and light, the appartment is well equipted with everything you need. We even had a little balcony from bedroom with a view to the main street. Yes, the stairs are a little steep (as a lot of reviews said), so wouldn´t recommend for small children or older people, but for us it wasn´t any problem.

The water pressure. Sure in Sicily that is something normal, that water pressure isn´t great, but in this space it was like really small pressure.

Noise and humidity.

Communication and check in were seamless and fast. The location is superb for exploring Catania and the region as you are relatively close to the bus terminal and train station and only a short drive to the airport. The duomo square is less than 500 meters away and there are many restaurants and place to visit all within walking distance. The apartment is small but this was known ahead of time and expected, the space was great for 2 adults and 2 kids for a short stay. Be aware it is noisy at night, I have this in the "like" category as this is a sign of it being in a central location and so something we were aware of. The wifi is extremely fast and given the small space there is a strong signal throughout.

The apartment itself is in need of repairs and has a number of problems to address. First there is a strong odor of mildew/mold, this is especially strong in the upper part. While this is far from unheard of in older buildings, especially during winter, there are some quick cleaning and treatment options that could be done to address this. There is also evidence of infestations of ants (saw them), pantry moths (saw them as well) and mice (saw the droppings in the kitchen). The kitchen itself was tiny, which was not a concern as this was clear from the pictures, however the dishes were dirty and there was no sponge present to clean. There are some minor repairs needed (front door is hard to close properly) but are generally just upkeep. With some fairly straightforward upkeep and addressing of some specific problems the apartment would be an almost perfect temporary stay spot for visiting Catania.

Everything was amazing! The flat was very clean, the bed was comfortable. That was my second visít in this flat,but not the last:) Cafe and tea was in the kitchen and a lot of kitchen tools. Every important things are nearly the flat. And the owner is a very friendly and nice sicilian man:) Grazie Francesco🥰

It was a very pleasant stay! 😊 The host met me on arrival, showed the property and was very communicative whenever I needed. The apartment is located in central area, next to the city's highlights and around ~20min walk from 'Catania Central train station'. It's a great option for solo or couple travellers, truly recommended! ✨ P.S. for someone who doesn't drink coffee it was very nice to find a kettle for a tea in Italian household! 🫖
