Al Salt

Great mountain hut in a really quiet environment. Equipped with basic equipment, but everything essential was there, including hot water and heating. Very good accessibility with a car - only the last 1 km was through a flat dirt road, in summer accessible using any personal car (no 4x4 needed at all). Restaurants and a supermarket with basic amenities are about 5 minutes ride with a car, in the Nevegal holiday area. Bigger city (Belluno) with everything needed is accessible in about 20 minutes with a car on good roads. Plenty of stuff to do in the nature in the surrounding area within 1 hour drive with car - e.g. Belluno mountains, Alpago mountains.

On Saturdays, most of the day there are flying really loud airplanes, most probably sightseeing airplanes flying above Nevegal area and Lago di Santa Croce lake. In the evenings everything was quiet again.

Determined for those who want to stay in a lonely calm place in the mountains, sorrounded by a meadow and hazelnut forrest with sound on a waterfall in the background. The house is a former house of a shephard, but inside fully renovated and equipped (gas stove, electric oven, gas heating, washing machine, dish washing machine). Surrounding is completely quiet, total darkness in night (except fireflies), in the morning you hear birds singing. Town with all the shops is about 20 minutes by car. Location is in the Nevegal Alps, close to Bellunese Dolomites, just above lake Santa Croce. Hosts (Francesco and Klaudia) are very friendly.
