I never rate a 10. But this felt like it deserved it for me. The place is so well taken care of, tastefully decorated while feeling both new and traditional. I was first hesitant about having a whole house by myself. Would it feel too big and empty? Funny enough, it was truly the highlight of my trip. I HIGHLY recommended it. Maiko was also so wonderful and went out of her way to make the stay as comfortable as possible, stopped for groceries, and gave me a ride back to the station! Definitely will come back!

The staff is very helpful in responding to our inquiry and very kind to pick us up and drive us to the station on check out. She speaks English fluently so we can have some chats through which we learned more about the region and the local people. Besides basic utensils and facilities, there are even coffee beans, seasonings, rice and persimmon which we are free to eat and use. The environment is quiet and peaceful as we are surrounded by rice fields and other farm houses.

We loved everything!!! Stayed with my sisters so we have the whole cottage to ourselves! The accommodation itself is well taken care of, despite it being 70 years!!! We only stayed for one night but will definitely come back and stay longer next time. The place was well equipped for cooking, and there's a mini market about 5 mins drive. I would say it's a good size for family and a group of friends. View-wise you're basically surrounded by well taken care of rice fields! If you love nature and peace and quiet, you won't regret staying here. We were blessed with a beautiful weather in late June and was able to see the beautiful Hoshitouge rice terraces at sunrise. Maiko was also well-versed in English so we were able to converse well and gave us lots of recommendations of where to go and what to do in the area. It's in the countryside so I will definitely recommend renting a car. Can't wait to come back!!!

The house was gorgeous and tastefully arranged. All the necessary appliances were provided and Maiko even came to pick us up from the station. Amazing value, will come again !

The host was exceptionally helpful in all ways. She inlcluded many thoughtful touches which made our stay here so positive. We loved having the house to ourselves.

The house was beautiful, well maintained, and very clean. Our host was so kind and we were provided some delicious fresh vegetables from the garden. Loved our stay!
