Guesthouse En

The guesthouse is a fair distance from food outlets, so the bicycles were essential and very much appreciated and used. The house is spotlessly clean, spacious and in a lovely little area on Omi The host is a lovely, warm man who was very helpful, responsive and punctual regarding our transfers to and from the station.

We didn't dislike anything. The only comments, for the benefits of other guests, is that you need to be happy to cycle, or else bring your own vehicle. In hindsight, we should have rented a car to drive from Kyoto as this would have made sightseeing around Omi much easier and faster.

Spacious space, clean, nice host

The house is very beautiful, comfy and big. The area is quite and charming. The staff was super nice.

Take into account that it will require either a 7 minutes taxi or bicycle ride.

Fantastic authentic spacious japanese style house, built ca. 100 years ago, is located at the outskirts of Omihachiman town, in a very quiet neighbourhood. The house consists of 4 rooms on tatami mats, a kitchen, a toilet, a mini bath with a more spacious shower area, a washing room and an entrance area. Although we did not cook anything in the house, the kitchen was well equipped with various cooking aids and gadgets. A private parking spot ca. 70 meters from the house was also provided for us. The hostess, who speaks good English, was waiting us at the house, explained the usage and gave good tips what to look and where to go to eat. The house also included 4 bikes in somewhat differing sizes for the usage by the guests.

The only minor thing we noticed was that the clothes dryer was not so efficient than what we are used to - but, just had to give it some more time, then we also got dried clothes out of it.

車で直ぐの場所に24時間の激安スーパーがあり、宿泊施設に調理道具も揃っていたので快適でした。 周りも静かな場所でとてもいい環境でした。

最初、テレビが無いのが残念だと思いましたが、無い時間を楽しむ事が出来ました。
