Beautiful home with a Japanese modern aesthetic. The home is central to most things, so you can get around by walking. It’s also very close to a subway station. The town that it’s located in has many restaurants and bakeries nearby. It was the perfect hike for our family vacation!

"A cute Kyo-Machiya in downtown"

I think the location is quite good, 5 minutes walking from Karasuma Oika subway station, so it's easily accessible to main scenic spots. I also love the design of the house, a combination of traditional Japanese style and chic moderness. The owner keeps part of the old wall of the house, which is a Kyo-Machiya by the way, so you can see the very original approach of how Kyoto ancient people built the house. It is very interesting. Also there are convenient store and nice restaurants nearby, so very traveller-friendly.
