Very narrow road to reach the parking lot, difficult to find the house based on the pictures on booking.com (refer to the Google maps pictures)

It is located at a quiet part or a quiet village. The house is good for vacation purpose. The staff is helpful and punctual for checking in and out.

There is no big shortcomings, but little things are not up to Japanese standard here and there. For example, Japanese homes are usually superbly clean and this one is only sufficiently clean. Japanese home would have rice cooker and a special stick for putting on shoes, but this one doesn't. Very sufficient tableware but only two pans for cooking. Only one stove head works among the two. etc., etc.

Spacious, the extension with bathroom and utility room is nice and modern.

The main issue was that the host only messaged me 45 minutes before the check in time asking when I would arrive saying that they lived quite far away from the property. I didn't see this until I had already arrived, and then had to wait an hour until they arrived. The host really should have asked this question a day ahead of time if she needed to be there to let me in. There is a lockbox type combi lock on the front door so I'm not sure why they didn't use that to keep a key so we could let ourselves in. They also only gave a Japanese phone number to contact them which I couldn't call as I don't have a Japanese SIM. It's also worth noting that there is a very steep and sharply angled ramp to get to the parking space in front of the house, this will be very difficult to use if you have a large car. Finally, not a huge issue, but the images on the listing are definitely old and need to be updated as the house layout is no longer the same as it is shown.

The location is stunning - quiet, peaceful and beautiful.

The host is really on time and friendly, and the space is big and clean :) The bathroom is really nice, big and contemporary that is out of our surprise!

Nothing much~

This country side villa is renovated to accommodate a family, a couple, and a group tourist in the western Shikoku. The location is not convenient if you do not travel by car, though the Saikyo city is a bike friendly town and you can enjoy a quiet country side with your bike. The villa has a beautiful and gorgeous bathroom with a comfortable bath tub and a strong shower. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and a bonus bbq grill is available at patio. The owner is a very friendly lady who also runs a ramen noodle shop in town. You may want to try her ramen during your stay.

There are a few comments about a steep access road from a street. The steep access road is not an impossible slope but it is indeed challenging. Make sure someone guiding your access.

Beautiful home feel. Clean, well furnished and beds made so comfortably for a good night’s sleep. Host was friendly and welcoming. The space felt warm and clean. Would happily stay for longer. Lots of amenities — washing machine and dryer worked well, and a quiet neighbourhood street for the dog to wander around in the morning.

Was a little tricky to figure out parking but once we found the entrance it was very spacious.
