Moonlight Blue Pension

The lady host was exceptionally welcoming and thoughtful in making sure we knew our way around. She would always drive us around whenever her time allows. She sent us to the NAMI island entrance, recommended a nice dakgalbi restaurant, and even booked a driver for us knowing we had to get to the Garden of the Morning Calm from the Gapyeong Rail Bike and back. The view from the pension was amazing.

The place itself is located within a quiet town, so we had trouble finding food around the area and no water/dispenser was provided, which we were not informed earlier (most hostels or hotel would provide water minimally). Otherwise, everything is good! Still recommended.

We loved how cozy our stay was in the middle of the winter, while also having massive views of the river and Nami Island. Most of all we loved how we felt at home as the host went out of her way to help us plan our time there. We were so thankful to her.

No convenience store within walking distance.

We are taking a rather long family holiday. So far we have stayed at 9 different hotels. Our stay at Moonlight Blue Pension was the loveliest in every sense. The property was a subtle luxury for the senses, nothing loud, but everything was picked out with consideration. From the potted Orchids at the entrance to the pretty china cups and saucer, from the Jacuzzi to the nice scented soap. The room had a ceiling high glass wall facing Nami Island, simply inviting us to just sit down at the coffee table and enjoying the view in the morning. It was like a new property, exceptionally clean and well taken care of. Even more exceptional was Ms Soe, the proprietress. She showed what hospitality used to mean. She even gave us a lift to the ferry terminal and again the next day to the ITX station! How glad we were that we stayed couple of days. It is a beautiful town with even more beautiful, caring and courteous people. Even the clerk at the convenience 7-eleven store went out of her way to help us call for a taxi when we finished dinner late, it was raining and there was no taxi around. Thank you Ms Soe, for a warm and lovely memory of our stay there!

The place is over seeing the Nami Island- very beautiful scenery coupled with nicely designed clean room. This place is highly recommended. The pension keeper (Ms Seo Ki-Sook) is so friendly and helpful. She allowed us for early check-in. She sent us to the Namiseom Island quay (2.6km from the Pension and 44 minutes walking distance). She also fetched us from the quay in the evening 💕🙏

The staff are very courteous, friendly and helpful. The location is excellent for a full and beautiful view of Nami Island opposite the river. The decoration of the pension is unique with style. Many plants and flowers contribute a fresh breath in addition to its extremely calm and peaceful atmosphere.
