La Casa de Juan

Our likes: nice balcony, no glaring fluorescent lights inside, large common area, lots of hooks, shelves & outlets, lots of cushions. There is a safe, a nice coffee pot, it's close to the beach, stores, and restaurants.

Our dislikes: No bottled water on arrival. No hand soap in the bathrooms. Upper bathroom trashcan lid was dirty; had something brown on it. We didn't want to touch it. Extremely poor internet. no paper towels & one dishtowel for a 5 day stay, no condiments except salt. No saucepan. Teflon is flaking off of the old & dirty looking pans that are there. (We scrubbed!) No beach towels. Kitchen is very poorly lit. Owner supplied a cigarette lighter for the stove. Could not light the burners without burning our fingers. MBR sliding doors do not slide. One controller for master and LR A/C, meant running up and down stairs with it all the time. The one BR TV did not work. MBR entry door doesn't shut. Two bath hand towels & 5 bath towels for 3 people for 5 days. Impossible to leave a bath mat spread out on the upper bath floor & close or open the bathroom door. (The door pushes the mat into the corner)
