Kudonoie - Vacation STAY 31960v

We loved everything!! My friends and I (3 of us) arrived at Kudonoie and were pleasantly greeted by Kazu-San. To which he asked us how we planned to get around. With not much in mind, he graciously offered to take us to get dinner and to the super market. The next day, he spent the whole day showing us around Koyasan, eating dinner with us, and even taking us to an Onsen. The next morning he guided us to the Samurai museum and took us to Hashimoto station to skip the transfer back to Osaka. The place itself is very well kept and clean. There was already water and snacks for us. Wifi worked great. The futons were very comfortable and cozying up under the kotatsu was a Japanese dream. It got chilly at night, but the heaters kept us all sufficiently warm and we slept very well. All I can say is Kazu is an absolute gem and you’d be lucky to meet someone like him. We can’t recommend him and his place enough. 100/10 rating!

We had a wonderful stay at Kudonoie and would highly recommend it. It is conveniently located for taking the train up to Koyasan which we did on our second day. It is a lovely traditional Japanese-style house with comfortable futon beds, a beautiful view across the valley, a cosy kotatsu table and a deep Japanese-style bath. The kitchen was well equipped and our host, Kazu-san, had very kindly provided tea, coffee, milk, and fresh strawberries, as well as some tasty mochi and other bits. Kazu-san is an amazing host. He picked us up from the station three hours before the usual check-in time and gave us a fantastic tour of Kudoyama and the surrounding area including driving for half an hour to a beautiful temple in a valley, high up in the mountains. This was something so special we would not have seen without Kazu-san's help. He also took us to a lovely onsen, as well as to a supermarket, and a local okonomiyaki restaurant. On our last day, he drove us to Hashimoto station so that we didn't have to change trains. Such a kind and fun person. Our stay at Kudonoie was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Japan.

Words cannot describe enough how great this experience was! First, when you write a review, you need to keep in mind what the cost was for the accommodation and the level of peaceful sleep you received. This house is greatly underpriced for the quality of the included service that we received from the owner. Kazu-San goes over the top to help you. We arrived by train so he picked us up and returned us to the station. We are big fans of Sanada clan history so Kazu-San showed us every spot where we could experience what exists of the local Sanada history in Kudoyama. Kudoyama is hardly a scruffy place as reviewd earlier, it is a farming and tourist base town that is recovering from the Covid years despite population loss. It truly deserves a visit, we stayed two nights and wished we could have been there one more night so as to walk the rice fields and soak in the peaceful life there. Also, you do not need to bring your own slippers, the house now has plenty!

Only item for us was the bed pillows were too puffy, some similar foam pillows that are not filled so fat would be great!

駐車場ちょっと遠い位です

Пребывание было потрясающим, хозяин был к нам невероятно внимателен, встретил и отвёз нас на станцию, отвозил нас за продуктами, угостил хурмой, и целый день показывал нам окрестности, Кудояму и Коясан. Замечательный и общительный владелец господин Казу, рассказал так много интересного и так о нас заботился! Дом просторный, современная мебель, стильный интерьер, есть все необходимое для нашего идеального отдыха. Шикарный котацу и панорамный вид на сельский пейзаж Кудоямы, удобные футоны. Было тепло и уютно. Это самое лучшее место в Японии где мы были!

Все было идеально. Жаль что не могли остаться там подольше

This place is stunning and spacious - it includes a gorgeous living room downstairs as well as the kitchen and bathroom. There is another seating area upstairs and the bedroom. It is also in the traditional Japanese style, which we love! The highlights for us though were two parts: First, the host is incredible! You cannot drive up to the house because the last road is too steep so he showed us where to park near the base and then drove us up in his bigger car. (He kindly did this again in the morning when we left, even though we had to leave very early!) Second, the view is incredible! It was a stunning way to start the day. Our only regret is we wish we'd stayed longer :)

La maison est parfaitement équipée, confortable et calme. Idéal pour se reposer et à proximité des commerces et restaurants en voiture. L’hôte est incroyablement gentil et réactif !
