Akane an Machiya House

二条城からほど近く、地下鉄もあり観光に便利な立地と町屋の一棟貸しでプライベート空間なので、観光後疲れていてもゆっくりとリラックスできました。お風呂から眺める坪庭や天井の高いキッチン、畳のお部屋など日本を感じられる作りなので、海外の方にもお勧めできるなぁと感じました。また機会があれば泊まりたいです！

The home was really nice. The location is also excellent. The check in process was super easy. The only issue was the bathroom was on the first floor but the bedroom is on the second floor. So if you have to use the bathroom at night, you have to go down the stairs.

Would have been nice to have a lounge to sit on. Description needs to be more clear that there is no western furniture. However impressed that they brought us chairs.

Location.

Bit dusty low ceilings and only one regular seat in whole house but it’s traditional Japanese so was expected.

Futon

Dryer didn’t work, clothes still wet after 2 cycles. Bathtub didn’t fill all the way and was not hot enough.

Loved the atmosphere and location, would definitely stay here again or at another machiya holiday house location! I misunderstood about the bedding and thought that the traditional Japanese bedroom was the default, so I was slightly disappointed when I realized that the western bedroom was the one that was prepared. But that's my fault for not clarifying ahead of time, and we still found the western beds to be very comfortable.

Wonderful to have a warm home to enjoy at the end of the day. Loved the garden and the bath. We also appreciated the laundry facilities.

What an amazing place! After a warm and very efficient welcome, we had an amazing 6 night stay at this traditional Kyoto townhouse. The pictures on the site absolutely do it justice, it’s a beautiful house with beautiful tatami, wooden and wicker details. And a wooden ofuro, with a view of the small garden, which was an absolute joy. We felt at home and at peace from the start. Akane-an (the name of the house/machiya) is in a great location, in a quiet neighbourhood near Nijo-jo, two subway lines and lots of restaurants, shops and supermarkets. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Kyoto, or a better way to end our Japan trip. Definitely recommend!

アメニティー　グッズも良く、理念サービスも良かったのに、スリッパがペラペラ過ぎて履きづらかった。折角なのに、勿体なかったです。

交通至景點就沒有京都站附近方便！ Check-in 要預約staff 比較麻煩，因每天行程很緊沒時間等候@@
