Boutique Guest House

Trash bin in front of the house was oferflowing upon our arrival and there was trash all over the street upon our arrival. The inside of the house was clean, but lawn in the yard has not been cut for a month. The house itself has cool design features, but right now it feels a bit run down, with something broken almost everywhere you touch. Chair is broken, floor tiles has come loose, etc. The location is excellent tho, and hotel's staff was good.

I provided the expected time of arrival and was informed that someone would meet us at the property. I messaged the property at 16.10 and was told to pick up the keys from the Villa Rosa Hotel, a 30 minute walk away. Having queued for approx 45 mins I was informed that the property had not been cleaned and wouldn't be available for another hour. We finally gained entry to the property and waited until the cleaners had left at approx 19.30. As we were there to celebrate my son's wedding we lost 3 - 4 hours of celebrations and also involved the stress to my son and Latvian daughter in law who were anxious and took time out of their schedule to help us solve the problem. I chose the property as it was listed as a 3 bathroom property which, as a group of 3 ladies attending a wedding, was our requirement. The main bedroom did not have a toilet, but a urinal and the hot tub had no instructions. There was no welcome pack other than one coffee pod.(photo available) The bin in the kitchen had old cartons and waste underneath. On departure there were no instructions as to where to leave the keys, no letter box to leave the keys at the property. Following another trip back to the Hotel I was given a bottle of wine for our inconvenience which we could not use as we were returning home and were not carrying a cork screw!

The receptionist was very helpful and polite. Management team response very quickly. The house was beautiful and has all the facilities we need especially washer and dryer.

- Need instructions in English on how to operate A/C and jet tub - No bathmat. We had to use our towels to wipe our feet. - Jet tub leaks. Seems to be from the hose connect to the jet towards the front bottom of the tub - Need laundry detergent, dish washing liquid, and facial tissues

Spacious rooms, nice yard

Living room floor, table was not clean, terrace was trashed, windows were smashed, grill tools were dirty as obviously previous guests were partying hard, but staff didnt bother to make everything clean and ready for us although checkin time was 15h. When we informed staff about the mess, they cleaned it during our time in the house.
