Kamozen Kyoto Machiya Stay

Enjoyed staying in a more traditional Japanese house. Good location and in a quiet area

Could have done with a little bit more kitchen equipment such as an extra pan and crockery eg bowls for breakfast.

Incredible house—the hosts were flexible with our late arrival and met us at the house. The house has absolutely everything you would ever need—so much attention to detail, and the house manual explains everything. Loved the little garden next to the tub, and the western-style beds were super comfortable. The location was excellent—close to several famous sites, but the neighborhood was very quiet.

My only very minor complaint was that the smell of incense was a little too strong when we first arrived. Other than that, loved this place and would return in a heartbeat.

What a lovely home! We met the hosts who explained everything clearly and received some nice welcome goodies. The place is very spacious and located in a quiet area within walking distance of many restaurants and sights. It really felt like we were staying in a traditional home, would love to stay here again!

The only thing (which wasn't such a big deal) was that the voltage seemed low, it took a long time to charge devices and it didn't seem like there was enough power to charge my power bank, so just be aware if you are bringing electronics that require a high voltage.

走路約清水寺10～15中即可抵達清水寺，若想要一大早就拜訪清水寺會是一個很不錯的住宿地點。走路10分鐘內有個當地的小超市可以逛，自行下廚方便。若願意慢慢走路，20分鐘內即可抵達花見小路與四条。5分鐘內可抵達Taxi乘車處。大小適合3～4人小家庭

若有一個烤箱會更好，因為許多超市的炸物用微波效果不好

The townhouse was in a perfect location with everything we needed for 5 days in Kyoto.

The stairs are a bit difficult to manage without railings. Especially if you need to go down to use the bathroom during the night.

Omg.... I couldn't imagine staying at a better place... The host was the sweetest and most thoughtful host I've even encountered... From the handwritten note to the welcome snacks... And besides that, the entire property was fully equipped... I couldn't think of anything to add to the property to make it more conformable or convenient... 💙

We waren drie weken in Japan en dit was absoluut het mooiste verblijf. Het huisje is erg smaakvol ingericht op een traditionele manier, maar alles lijkt splinternieuw. Alle technische snufjes zijn aanwezig. De ontvangst was ook traditioneel Japans, door het echtpaar die de woning verhuurt, inclusief sake en mandje met lekkers. De locatie is ook perfect, vlakbij het oude Kyoto. Dus wel toeristisch. Wat ook fijn was, is dat er voldoende verwarming was, want het sneeuwde buiten (op andere plekken hebben wij het koud gehad). Echt een aanrader dit huisje.

Alles beviel. Alleen alles is zo mooi en perfect, dat ik bang was wat te beschadigen.
