Vissershuisje aan de waddenzee

The place was very charming, clean, safe, and spacious. There was a clear parking space. We loved its authenticity and location within walking distance of the sea and the museum. And chickens! And an apple tree!

We did not have the contact info for getting in and were waiting at the front for a while. We tried the phone number we had, which did not pick up and was for the owner in another town. We looked around until we found the keys in the backdoor. We went in and the contact person saw us and came over. Having info would have been best to avoid our confusion. We were also not informed about the bedroom being located up a steep ladder. Being seniors, we found that unsafe to use in the middle of the night, but we brought down the bedding and slept in the livingroom, which was adequate but far from ideal.

Spacious old cottage very close to the dike so we could hear the sound of the sea and sea birds at night. The host very friendly and told us about the history of the region and the house itself. Very comfortable big kitchen with a nice huge wooden table and pleasant living room with two sofas and mysterious wardrobes :) (one to sleep, one with stairs).

In winter a little bit too cold upstairs in bedrooms.

Amazing house with a nice dining room and living room. There were a lot of toys - which we did not suspect - and the kids love them. The location is nice, and the dike of Moddergat/Paesens is in walking distance (cca 5 mins).
