Wonderfully secluded place. House with its own fenced garden. Great place to bring a dog too. Lots of Icelandic horses around. Owners are breeders and trainers. House is very comfortable with good quality furniture and furnishings. You can park the car right in front of the house.

Spent a few days for a quiet working retreat. Absolutely lovely house with a lot of space, allowing for working and relaxing. Friendly and responsive owners too.

Everything is fantastic. The beautiful house, the kitchen, the big living room , the bedroom, the lovely dogs and horses. And most importantly the very welcome from the hosts. I spent 2 days there and that's the most relaxed days for recent weeks. I feel fully recharged!

Nothing, everything is perfect during my stay.

This location was perfect for traveling to Amsterdam with dogs. Amsterdam is a bit hectic for furry friends, so this space, on a horse farm, in the suburb of Weesp was perfect. The train to Amsterdam Central is only 4 stops, or your can drive into the edge of the city. We did both. The only trouble we had was the last train back was cancelled suddenly, and we ended up taking an expensive Uber home. The recently renovated space was stocked with a full kitchen and living room, a selection of games and books, and even a working fireplace that the owners will provide wood for if you ask for a small price. The hosts were responsive while valuing privacy and the view of the horses, fields and neighboring canals give you a taste of rural Dutch life while being super convenient to the highway and the city. We will (try to) stay here every time we come up from Germany with the dogs.

great location for our needs

Beautiful quiet location with lovely scenery. Comfortable bedroom and well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed seeing the horses out the window.

Restaurant nearby closed. We were on bicycles so shop 15 mins away but we were lucky with dry weather and loved seeing the countryside.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hester Husid. The house is surrounded by peaceful countryside, we enjoyed observing the horses, as well as the ducks and rabbits in the fields. It's a great place to stay for visiting Amsterdam too, just a short drive from the train station in Weesp. The furnishing is very comfortable, the house has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The huge showerhead in the bathroom was also a highlight for us :) Marije, the owner, is a very friendly and helpful host. Can definitely recommend staying here.
