SeaView Retreat -Amazing Ocean Views and Outdoor bath

Very private quiet amazing place and spectacular views will return

The view is incredible. Having no wifi or phone reception was a little strange at first but ultimately ended up being so good! A great place to calm the soul and truly relax. The bath at sunset was simply magical!

I wish some of the beach facing windows were larger so you could capture more of the incredible view from the bed and living space but that’s barely a complaint, the place is stunning!

I loved that it was an easy drive from Auckland and the property gave you privacy with a magnificent view on the deck and from inside the cabin. The bath set up outside with the ocean view was a favourite of ours. It had most of the amenities one would need on a get away. Truly a retreat and would definitely go back.

Door was unlocked, Location was remote and private

The bed needed to be a bit more luxurious, a bigger duvet cover would have been really nice . A queen bed with a King or Super King duvet would be perfect. It was a wonderful couples retreat. Just to be with each other with no interruptions e.g phone or computers was perfect.

This is a very unfortunate review to write as the location is stunning and beautiful, my partner and I had travelled from overseas and were looking forward to this stay. We had to travel quite far to get here but once we arrived, we were breath taken and it was all worth it we were also left a handwritten note and a bottle of bubbly which was super nice!

Unfortunately, our stay ended before it had begun and had to vacate the property due an insect infestation, we could not stay inside the property at all, it was extremely upsetting as we had travelled so far and it was getting dark and we were very tired, there is also no reception ( we aware of this prior) so had to drive out to get some so we could contact the host to let them know what was happening. Once we spoke with the host, she was very apologetic and offered the refund straight away. EDIT: As I am unable to respond to the property's reply, I am adding it here. As you can see above, I was honest that the refund was provided and have tried to keep the review as positive as I could. The bed was not used but checked as the headboard and underneath the bed was covered in bugs you can see this in the photos, the bed was also made up again after we had checked the mattress. To say we used the bathtub, how I wish we could've. We were at the property for less than 40 minutes and I will upload the message sent through booking that shows the time stamp of when I initially contacted you for help in finding the place to when we had to leave, I also let you know that we left rubbish in the bin, yes this was our dinner that we could not eat. We did pour ourselves a glass of wine that we bought ourselves when we initially arrived, the wine glasses were cleaned. To say that I used you for a great destination for dinner and drinks, please tell me how travelling all the way from Australia, paying 2 months in advance, having to deal with the insect infestation, having to find another place last minute and pay even more money on top of what I had already spent, yet YOU feel used... I requested for a refund, not demanded you can see this in my message to you. It is unfortunate that this is how you have chosen to respond to a review by spinning the narrative.

This property exceeded my expectations. It is beyond beautiful and the hosts thought of everything. There is no signal or wifi but they provide board games, cards, books for entertainment. They also provide very clear instructions on how to get there and how to get to the beach which is super helpful. They provide extra beach towels, hats as well. We really enjoyed our time here and highly recommend🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
