Fergus Hideaway

Property was very close to city centre like groceries and restaurants. It was very warm and you had the choice between a heat pump or a fire place. Looks new and good water pressure. Also had 2x bathroom so great for big groups.

We spent 2 nigths and It was like at home. All the manuals were in easy reach and everything worked well. House is spacious and very well equipped. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Two separate bathrooms make it perfect for 2 couples

Comfort, size , cleanliness and location

The location was great. Easy walk into the busy Main Street and restaurants, and grocery store. Close to the water 🙂 There are beautiful decks to enjoy some quiet time, and a lovely back yard to settle into and read. The house has many upgrades. The bedrooms are big and have electric heaters under the sheets for the cold morning or night. The kitchen is well equipped, and its makeover is very stylish, and it looks really pretty. Bathrooms are great, the lower bathroom is a bit tricky to get the water going without soaking the bathroom. I love the double blinds on the windows. The windows are large, and the house fills with light. The 2 sets of doors to the deck are huge. The doors can push back twice to have a really large opening. These might be my favorite up date. There are bikes there to ride

This is more about us. We had 3 large suitcases, 1 medium and 1 roll on. It was a challenge getting all of it moved. A lovely lady from a shop very graciously drove us over to the house (2 trips). There are no Ubers or taxi’s in Te Anau. I am pretty fussy over simple stuff, and it bugs me more than huge stuff. There are metal strips at the bottoms to all the blinds. The kitchens were the worst. I was going to clean them, but no cleaning supplies. So, clean all the blinds in all of the room once in a while. All the light switches, door handles, and the base boards especially in the bathrooms. It the little stuff, and doesn’t need to be every time.
