A Cut Above Lodge - The Gateway to the Bay of Islands

The location is quiet and rural, with no vehicle noise at night. It is just a short drive out of Kerikeri and very close to the airport. The cottage felt private, even though the owners live closeby they were not visible to us. There is a nice little courtyard out the back to sip wine or have a BBQ. The cottage is very homely and was well stocked with plates, cups, dishes, glasses more so than your usual accomodation. The gas fire was a treat as were the electric blankets. The owners take good care of the accomodation - it is clean and well appointed. All in all , it was a lovely experience.

My only suggestion would be to increase the comfort level of the beds, they were a bit hard for my liking.

Beautiful home, very clean everything was great, peaceful and quiet. Great value, would definitely recommend.

The property was easy to find, very clean and stylish. The hosts were very accomodating of our change of plans. Would definitely recommend this property and look forward to returning soon.

Nice place, clean and comfortable. Short drive to the Main Street.

The washing machine didn’t want to fill with water, the main heater would only work for an hour or so before flaming out and needing to be reset.

Kia ora what a Beautiful home after a long weekend of mahi at our marae this was the perfect way to relax , we miss Aurora night sky because this home was too fabulous to leave ! Thank you we will be back ..💯

Fabulous home ..didn't like that we had to leave and return home to Tamaki ..
