"Great location, lovely beds and baths, but a struggle if you want to cook."

Bedrooms and bathrooms were very nice, tidy and well laid out. Beds were extremely comfortable, plenty of blankets and electric blankets. Very good location, central to everything in Lake Tekapo. Most landmarks only about a 5 minute drive away.

Kitchen had great appliances, but was lacking in utensils and cookware; only one chopping board, no slotted spatula or similar for cooking. We had six people staying and struggled to cook a meal for everyone. Felt a bit turned off by all the harsh signage - not to put the recycling in the wrong bin or you'd be fined, not to touch the Bosch panel when you came in the front door. Not unreasonable to warn people about these things, but the tone was a bit unwelcoming.
