Lakeview Chalet Lake Tarawera

Fantastic property, have stayed a couple of times. Wonderful house, great location.

Didn’t like the Property Manager coming by at 8.30am to ask how many people where staying relative to how many were had booked. Felt like accusations asking us about how many boats or fishing rods we had. Didn’t like being checked up on and asked for a head count during our break. We had 3-4 family members join us during the day, we had a lovely time in the lake. Paid $2,500 for three nights and didn’t appreciate being made feel like we were being dishonest.

Facilities at the property are excellent, very well appointed and clean and tidy. Coffee machine at the property was a good bonus. The large beds were very good.

Information differs between what is on Booking.com and messages sent, so need to take time to read these messages even when they appear to be the same as earlier ones. Also listing needs updating as it says towels and sheets are available at extra cost but then were there when we arrived, a welcome bonus but would have been better had we known so we didn't take all our own unnecessarily.

Fabulous view from the large lounge that just makes this place - along with the fire place and interior heating.
