Pipi Cabin - Mangawhai Village Bach

The description of the property when I booked said it had a fully equipped kitchen, but when we got there, what we found was a colony of cockroaches on the sink(babies and adult ones) hiding under the kettle, old kitchen utensils and pans and a pantry that had old and odd things in it. If the property manager was able to put in clean towels in the unit and straightened the beds, they might as well have made sure the kitchen was clean and presentable. It was disappointing as food preparation and cleanliness are two very important elements of a good short holiday, IMO. The fact that the cabin was old is ok, but what matters more for me is the cleanliness of the kitchen as I prepare food for my family.

Nice Private Cabin with large yard space. Good sized kitcken and nice cooking facilities.

A very Nice DVD player from the 1990s! Sadly no wifi! Unfortunately in these days any holiday house, especially considering the price the charge, should have wifi. No Netflix or other popular channels. In general, the place is in need of upgrade.

Good location and kitchen

Very basic batch, which was what we expected from photos No Wifi. Main bed was a rock hard double slat bed No heater or extractor fan in bathroom, Bare deck with no outdoor furniture or BBQ

Great Place , comfortable little home away from home. I was sad to leave.

There is no wifi, this is a big no no for modern day.

Location handy to dine and walk along estuary.

Location was great, lots of good tv channels. Big kitchen with Everything you need. Awesome couch

Was a bit musty smelling, not sure if it just hadn't been opened up in a while. Definitely could do with a bit of an update - not very baby proof 🙈
