The location was good, but would be hard to find without GPS

The fact we had to go through someone’s bedroom to go to the bathroom was not appreciated. No place to store clothing in second bedroom.

Ivo’s cottage was situated in the woods on the northern side of Otterlo. It was one of the middle cottages in a group of about 6 It was easy to find and easy to access and although there was an N road on either side of the unmade road it was very peaceful I booked very last minute but communication was still extremely good The cottage is extremely comfortable with a nice kitchen and bathroom and spacious living area The bedrooms are compact and as others have commented , the configuration odd as you have to pass through the twin room to access the bathroom. But as I was alone this wasn’t an issue ! It was lovely having a washing machine and dishwasher. The kitchen was pretty well stocked with pans and cutlery and crockery for cooking a decent meal The surrounding woods were fantastic for gravel cycling and the nice town of Arnhem is within a 30 minute drive and Epe - a 30 minute cycle I would not hesitate to return to the property Thank you

As someone who likes to cook it would be nice to have a few basics in the kitchen like salt and pepper oil etc And maybe a few extra gadgets in the kitchen ..cheese grater, potato masher ?And a hairdryer would be very handy ( as everywhere else I have been has always supplied one I didn’t bring mine ) And somewhere to store clothes in the second bedroom Then it would be perfect!!

Location is excellent, close to Otterlo and the national park. Green area with much bird life. Goo starting point to explore the veluwe. Facilities nearby such as a spar and restaurants. Free parking and bike rack available.

The recently renovated bathroom is quite cramped due to a (too large) sink that blocks easy access to toilet and shower. The 2nd bedroom is only accessible trough the first. Fine with young kids, but not when you travel with e.g. two couples or with older kids. Kitchen equipment is rather limited, e.g. no toaster, mixer etc.

Ivo was very helpful. He provided a separate microwave oven when the one in the combi oven wasn't working. He also provided a tower fan which was very useful during the hot days. We really loved Otterlo and all the forests in the area, including the National Park Hoge Veluwe. Trips to Amsterdam by car took only one hour at the most.

The roads near the holiday park are busier / noisier than we had expected. However, the park/forest itself is quiet as the units are more suited to adult couples staying rather than families with children.
