Cabin in Hodlekve with 5 bedrooms & hot tub.

The views from the cabin of the mountain and forest were nice, the living room area was comfortable and the open plan kitchen diner was good.

The biggest disappointment for us was the jacuzzi wasn't working which was the main reason we booked the cabin. The owner indicated it was working and would be ready the morning after we arrived but it became apparent it wasn't heating up and there was an error message. Having now looked at other recent reviews it looks like it wasn't working for other guests either. We were given a small refund from the owner but this didn't make up for the disappointment. On top of this the cabin on the whole was old, and in need of a good clean. Specifically the shower cubicle was very dirty, to the point I had to give it a quick clean before we used it. The oven was also very dirty and unusable as when you turned it on it smoked badly due to fat etc built up in it. The beds were comfy, although very soft so not to everyone's taste, however the rooms are all small with nowhere to put your clothes or suitcase. There was an upstairs attic type area we didn't use as it had some steps up with a very wobbly bannister that simply weren't safe. The surrounding outside area had planks lying around and the stone block steps down to the cabin were very wobbly and unstable. Some signage at the top of the steep driveway would be helpful to let guests know which cabin it is as there isn't anything indicating the cabin number. We stayed in the summer and have a 4x4 vehicle, I imagine in the winter or even in wet weather the drive could be very challenging for a 2 wheel drive vehicle. All in all for the money we paid I feel very disappointed about our stay. I don't feel the price of the property represents the quality of the cabin you are getting.

Location was nice.

Getting down to the front door was very icy and scary. We needed ski poles to get down the "stairs" and then tried to shovel them out but was super icy. The hot tub was not warm and super gross. Pretty cold throughout the house too.

The hytte was as described. All amenities as described. We have a great time at this place .

Everything. It's very cosy place with great location .

Christmas vibes

Jacuzzi - no instruction, not easy to guess how to change settings.

What a great place! If you're coming in the winter it couldn't be more convenient, in other seasons it's a bit off the beaten path but well worth the effort to get here if you have the time. Wonderful living / dining / kitchen space in the house, super cozy, high ceilings with wood beams everywhere, great fireplace. Bedrooms are a bit small, but the hot tub more than makes up for that! Great to have a clothes dryer too, in addition to the washing machine, a really big help on our extended trip. Good supermarkets just 12min away by car in the nearest town of size, Lerheim. If you opt to use the hottub, turn the temperature up an hour or so before you want to use it, and then back down again when you're done of course. The place to dispose of your trash is 700m further down the smaller road that leads into the neighborhood, on the right.

If you're brining your own sheets, the largest bed is closer to a king than queen size. We'd also recommend bringing dish towels or cloths to wipe up.

Location was very convenient for us. We had access to the hot tub which was a highlight for the family. Living room was great and the kitchen had all we needed.

Rooms were very tiny, luggages need to stay out of the rooms. We had to pay extra for bed linen (we only stayed one night, so I see the cost of it) and had only access to had side towels. I communicated with the host about bigger towels, but the response came a bit late. We were told where to leave the garbage, but couldn't find it, so we ended up taking our rubbish with us until our next stop in the trip.
