The pillows were lush, no skimping on the mattress. The upstairs shower was lovely heat and pressure. The use of an internal garage was amazing too! In summer the bedroom window could be left open due to the magnetic insect screen. The house had nice aesthetic touches, but nothing too stressful with a mobile 17 month old moving (coasters, diffuser and heavy vase tucked in a corner were the only things to keep an eye on: so would recommend to families). We brought our toddler shnuggle and could quickly and easily use it within the main bath- temp and pressure of that tap was lovely too. Also the nice touches like a decent toaster, and the coffee machine with accompanying capsules (thank you). Donna was also super quick in communication, and was clear and succinct with some simple instructions too (IE bins etc).

I actually don’t have anything to nitpick on this occasion. As a home owner myself, the accommodation feels like it was once a lived in family home, but has been kept in good order.

Everything was beautiful from the driveway all the way to the top of the rooms upstairs so amazing in and outside lovely host lovely home will deffs b bk in the future.a big thanks to Donna shows that she puts alot of mahi towards her beautiful home highly recommend anyone to stay here and at such late notice the whanau didn't want to leave so I got in touch with Donna she arranged one more night which was sooo awesome big thanks to Donna God bless u 🙂

Very nice house, very clean, great location

The place is huge, very clean and very comfortable. The communication with Donna, the owner, was fantastic. There were five of us, and we really enjoyed our stay. It's a short walk to Pak n Save, and not far from the centre of town. Loved that there was Netflix and Amazon Prime available on the TV. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed to make a meal, so it was a nice change from going out to a restaurant and having the room to make our own dinner. Coffee, tea, sugar and milk were all provided. We could see that the owner takes pride in their work, and we were very impressed with everything.

It's silly, but I would have liked a shower cap. Only because I didn't bring my own. Everything else was superb.

Very clean and comfortable. There are signs telling you to keep the place clean, and we left it very clean and tidy - despite when we arrived there was a dirty coffee cup on sink and a dirty facecloth in the shower. It was no biggie, but considering the emphasis there is on keeping it pristine and that the host is also the cleaner, found it a little odd, but explains a lot - please read on for what we did not like.

We ended up having one person join us last minute, and were advised to make payment, which I said I would make the following day (we only stayed the one night). The payment was made as agreed, but all through the day I got a number of aggressive and threatening texts (while I was travelling so got them when I got home at 3.45pm)plus an email about her contacting Booking.com about non payment which was untrue. I sent a screen shot that the payment had been made, and then received another text saying if it wasn't paid she would advise the police. I have never in all the years I have travelled come across someone so paranoid and mean to her guests. I was shocked by her behaviour and felt really disrespected. Would never stay again and would not recommend to ever interact with the host. She also sent a message on the night we arrived, within half an hour which suggests there are cameras in the house, she said her neighbour mentioned a 4th person (we had initially booked for 3 but did pay for the 4th person) - I think that was a lie as the neighbour, as they would have been standing out on the street to see us get out of the car and then count. the host said there is a lot of trouble with gangs (BTW - we were 3 women in our 50s and one man in his 40s who certainly don't look like we are in any gang!). The host was unprofessional, paranoid, rude and invasive. She should not be hosting anyone.

Good location - great for the beach and Devonport Road CBD etc. in the summer. Spacious and clean home.

Outside light could not be switched off and disturbed two of the bedrooms. Limited heating - single heat pump for the whole house so not great for the winter. Limited hot water - only good for 2 showers in a house that can accommodate an “absolute maximum” of 6. Contacted the host to politely point these aspects out and they got a tad defensive !
