Great view from bedroom and deck, privacy, clean, most necessities provided.

Accomodation very modest for price, no comfortable sofa or dining suite to sit on, all furnishings cheap/flimsy. 1 deck chair between us, no milk provided for tea. Real ant problem on lounge floor. Not bad, just expect more for that rate outside main season/ public holidays.

"disappointed, left earlier"

Hi, Following our phone conversation earlier today with your customer service team, I would like pass on the feedback on the problems we found at the Paku Escape - Tiarua Bach - Booking number:4939295924 The property has two levels, the top sleeping area has two beds and stunning views as advertised. The bottom lounge / dining / kitchen area was the cause of our early departure and this complaint. The issues causing our decision to leave: -The area was ant infested - with what looks to be tiny Argentine Ants. There was a bottle of ant spray in a cupboard but they were everywhere downstairs and also I wasn't going to spray ant poison in an area where I was going to sleep. -This brings me to the second problem: two beds upstairs were great, nice mattress, clean linen, all perfect. The third bed advertised was downstairs in the lounge area - being a swing open metal framed couch transforming into a flatbed. The mattress of this bed was hard, old, and had an odour with it. You could not have a proper good night rest, but what made it worse was waking up from constant turning to ease the sores caused by the mattress and finding ants crawling over my face. This really put us off from spending our next night - Saturday 8th / Sunday 9th February - so we decided to return home and clean our luggage / spray it so we don't end up with the same ants in our place. -A third issue which should be advertised with this property is that it's got a narrow driveway which forces one to reverse out onto the main road, straight into oncoming traffic from uphill. There is no safe way to leave the property on your own, you always need a pilot / 2nd person to guide you out and make sure there's no oncoming traffic. There is no room down the driveway to turn your vehicle so you can exit nose up.

"Overpriced in Tairua"

5.0

The view

It was a bit quirky. The hot water under the sink was annoying to deal with, deck felt like a death trap with nail heads sticking up and an unsafe drop off. No bedhead or side tables in bedroom except a non functional table and chairs at a window that had a bit of driftwood, a seagull and shells on it so rendered it useless. The shower set up was old and needs repair.

an escape from the electronic world, amazing views which were constantly changing with the tides and birds

the sofa bed was not very comfortable as a sofa or a bed but the main bed upstairs was lovely

"Restful with stunning views ."

Amazing location. Quaint bach with a lovely window seat to enjoy the spectacular views. Enjoyed the peace and quiet and didn’t miss the TV at all. Watching cavorting tuis come and go was far more entertaining.

Maybe the kettle location could be rethought. Tricky for short people. A grill or sandwich press would also be useful.
