Blackpool Bayside - Stay Waiheke

Amazing location, so peaceful, fantastic views, bird song, safe enclosed garden. Lovely walks from the house. Safe swimming metres from the door. Perfect in so many ways!!

I appreciate there is not a lot that could be done about it but we did manage to bump our heads on the beams when looking at the amazing view from the top bedroom. We certainly don’t do it twice!! A blind on the roof window in the other room would be good.

The location was handy, and the view was exceptional. The house had recently been repainted, so it looked fresh, although there was a strong smell of paint.

The house could have been aired to minimize the overwhelming paint odour. The gate leading to where the lock box was located had rusted off its hinge and had to be stepped on to gain access. The microwave was difficult to operate, as the writing on the buttons had faded, making it difficult to read. Unfortunately, the mower person arrived at 8 a.m. to mow and whipper-snip. We had gone to a wedding the night before and hadn't gotten to bed until after 1 am so we were quite annoyed about being disturbed. I am not sure why the mower person couldn't have waited until we checked out at 10.30 am. There were exposed wires coming out of the wall and floor in the lounge room. Feedback was provided to the property managers so these issues could be addressed for future stays.

We like all the kitchen facilities. Proper coffee Pods were provided although we brought our own. Bath towels are nice and fluffy. The scenery from the house is just breathtaking. Fire place also nice on a cold mornings and evenings.

Nothing really. May be the price?? But Waiheke is an expensive area any way so we are expected to pay more. This is only a suggestion that may be you can provide a scale in the bathroom so we know the weigh our luggage.

Great location, beautiful outdoor spaces, good kitchen and bathroom facilities.

Extra bath towels would have been great as well as if they could provide beach towels.

Great location, waking up to the Bay views was spectacular. The upstairs rooms were abit rickety/shaky but had all amenities needed

My family of six found this property perfect and very comfortable. Great views, and everything you need for a great stay on Waiheke. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

My girls found it hard to sleep when the heat pump or gas cylinder made a loudish noise every 20 minutes throughout the night. Luckily, this could only be heard in the downstairs room.
