Would definitely recommend the bach, just a couple of things -When we arrived it was evening time and no heating had been left on for us, the place was freezing for some time,once it was heated it was great though! Fireplace was great! Just a tip to have the wood basket full would be fab as well as sheets on and available for all beds/amount of guests we booked.

A few negatives: - no WIFI - BBQ did not work - shower pressure was very low - lack of adequate kitchen bench - this was a home with character, plenty of great retro decorations etc, however at $600/night, I do not consider it was value for money. We have rented 3brm/2bath modern properties in Wanaka for $400/night with better amenities and facilities. I hope this comment can be taken in the right way. It's a cute bach, and has enough beds to sleep 8 in the main house plus 4 more in cabins, but it would be a real struggle to cook for that many people in the small kitchen.

Wifi would be helpful for researching and booking holiday activities.

Our daughter found her bed room cold, but everyone else was warm enough.

Great location, view, whare, ambience, amenities, fireplace, spa pool and spaces. I loved the nostalgic feeling it gave me being a child of the 60's and 70's as it reminded me of things from my childhood and growing up. We are coming back next year in the warmer months...but a great place all year round I think.

Wifi reception was weak. But will take HDMI cord and laptop to watch downloaded items next time.
