Heights Haven - Acacia Bay Holiday Home

I like that the view was the exact same from the pictures. The house was large and exactly what we needed. While the weather wasn't good, there was space for us to all be in the same room inside the lounge. House was nice and warm too.

The oven was filthy and smoked out the house when we tried to use it. There were no smoke alarms either. The kitchen brush was filthy and there were no dish clothes to use to wipe down the bench. There were old beaverage bottles under the couch that we cleaned up and put into the recycling. We asked for 7 beds and there were only 6 made up and we couldn't find any sheets for the 7th bed so two people ended up sharing. There was a bit of bad weather during our stay and water seeped in from under an outside door in the downstairs area. The stairs were also a little bit of a surprise, very narrow. We had a small incident with some nail polish on the carpet and we let the host know but they took 2 weeks to even acknowledge the message from us. They never acknowledged any of the issues we raised.

The house was spacious with beautiful views. We were 2 families with little kids and it worked perfectly for us all. Good facilities, everything we needed for a weekend away. Beds were so comfortable and the place was very clean.

Lockbox code given was incorrect however it was resolved quickly once I called bachcare.

Gutters blocked so we got soaked trying to access keypad and open door.

The view was amazing, but the location was a bit far our of town. But it was still amazing and you can’t have it all. Loved the fireplace, loved the outdoor area, loved the bedroom spaces!

I don’t think it could have been better! Just two small things, we were planning on using the barbecue that wasn’t working! This would save smells In the house. Would also have loved a broom for quick kitchen clean ups!
