Mountain Vista Retreat - Apartment 2

Exceeded all expectations. Do not hesitate to book this, you won't regret it.

This contemporary apartment far exceeded our expectations. The space was just beautiful. The bedrooms had a walk in wardrobe space and 2 bathrooms. The kitchen was spacious and modern, looking out into the mountains with a modern bifold. Definitely will return.

Comfortable beds. Good layout.

Not cleaned thoroughly before arrival. Doesn’t really have a view.

Spacious layout with many facilities available

I stayed with one friend so each had our own room. The showers were nice. The main room had a walk in robe and both rooms had somewhere to put your cases. The kitchen was large and well equipped with full stove and fridge. Washing machine had powder provided. The lounge, dining and outdoor areas plenty roomy enough and comfortable. We had a great dinner at the fast and friendly Thai restuarant in town a few minutes away. We had mountain views from the lounge and bedrooms and were glad we stayed here in a comfy house at Twizel.

Both beds had thin coverlets as the only blankets. The main bed had an electric blanket but the 2nd bedroom didn't and there were no spare blankets in the house. We didn't realise the heating wasn't on so the house was cold when we returned from dinner - we had both had a long drive so went straight out to eat. We spent a long time looking for blankets as the house took quite a while to heat up enough for it to warm the 2nd room. If my friend, from Dunedin so used to the cold, didn't have an old sleeping bag in the car she would have had to sleep on the floor near the lounge air conditioner. Having a spare blanket or two, or electric blanket for the 2nd bedroom would have made all the difference to us on what was otherwise a truly lovely place to stay.

The location and space in the place was great

It wasn’t that clean. There were long black hairs all over the bathroom floor and on the bedding and markings on the pillow. There was pink mold in the bathroom sink and brown gunk around the shower that was easy to wipe off so showed it hadn’t been cleaned.
