The lack of privacy due to all glass windows on front

Nice shower, clean and warm rooms

No rubbish bin in the toilet - inconvenient for ladies. Would be good if there's tissue in the kitchen

Location was great for Mt Cook hike (40min drive in), views from front porch and windows were amazing, house heated up really well with living room heater and electric fireplace, washer/dryer was convenient but we did an express wash then hung dry the clothes on the clothes dryer from the cupboard in front of the heaters which worked a treat as washer/dryer mode took too long. House had all the amenities we needed to cook our own meals for 3 nights, and never needed to use the electric blankets as house was well insulated from the cold. Super clean house and tidy! WiFi worked great, there are two logins we found in the booklet so one of the two worked well. Close to local shops.

Would have been good to have steps from the front door instead of over on the back room as you park the car in front and need to do a huge step up to get to front door. Could have some mesh blinds to let sunlight in but not have the whole neighbourhood look into your house as there were only blockout blinds in the front living area. We spent over half a tank of fuel in 3 days driving back and forth to Tekapo for star gazing one night, then hot springs/ice skating another day, and in/out of Mt Cook so suggest to stay in Twizel for Mt Cook, but stay in Tekapo to do Tekapo activities. Also regret not popping into High Country Salmon as they has free fish feeding and cafe kids would have loved, instead we went to Mt Cook Alpine Salmon which was just a shopfront.

Excellent house, seemed almost brand new. Very comfortable, plenty of space and well equipped. Great shower and comfy beds. Good sky light to look at the dark sky stars. Great to have washing machine and full cooker.

Nothing, but if I’m being picky some oven gloves would have been better than a bathroom towel!
