Rippling Waves Lookout - Raumati South Home

Gorgeous view, great spot, lovely and clean, great facilities. Great options for outside dining (was a bit too windy during our stay though). Lovely and warm and family friendly. Short drive to Raumati South Beach, park and lovely cafes. Easy drive to Wellington.

The lock box was in a good location

What a mess. We had driven 4 hours, had a time constraint, and the numbers for the lockbox would not work. Phoned Bachcare and listened to music for an age. The person answering the phone asked for my conformation number, which wasn't accessible because I was already on the phone and there was no way I wanted to listen to all that music again. A solution was found when the person on the other end suggested calling me back. Would you believe they had changed the lockbox number. I was very very frustrated. I have been booking properties for a long time and never have I had such incompetence before.

Only thing was a missing washing machine/dryer. It didn't state it had one but missed looking for it when ordering. But it wasn't that critical.

Nice big TV to watch. It was wet on Saturday, so a warm, comfortable place to relax and watch TV was important after a busy week. The bed linen and towels were much appreciated and worth the extra money.

It took a while to find the lock box, as instructions said 'wall' rather than 'retaining wall', which was confusing. It took us about 20 mins to get in to the house as after realizing the box was on side of the retaining wall, we then found the wrong box.

We were after a little quiet time so maybe the all day fence building on th property and gardening and car workshop stuff could have been done some other time, nail gun going all day.
