we booked this property very last minute as our current accommodation had been broken into hours before we checked in and the front door was smashed in so was not able to be locked, the owner responded to our booking request very fast and made our transaction easy and smooth

this property is very old and run down. The lounge stunk of vomit, the ceiling fan in the bedroom is broken, no door on the shower so when you have a shower you need to use at least three towels on the floor to soak up the water that spills onto it. The main light in the bathroom is broken so impossible to use the mirror as it’s too dark to see anything. The was only three teaspoons in the kitchen which is a joke when you have 5 adults. the dishwasher had no rinse aid in it so we had to hand dry every dish after it was washed. the batteries in the remote control for the tv in the lounge were flat so couldn’t get it to go. there were two cheese graters in the kitchen one was rusty and the other had melted cheese stuck to it from the previous tenants. the listing did not mention stairs in the house and our 21 month old baby was constantly trying to go down them which left us all on edge. This property was probably beautiful 20 years ago but has not been maintained or cleaned since. going back on past reviews from over a year ago and the same problems are listed (unfortunately we didn’t look back far enough when looking for somewhere to stay). years of mould on every window and the wardrobes in the bedrooms all stunk of mould too. we went to hang clothes on the clothes line and had to repair all the broken cords first as they had collapsed. we also had to buy pegs as there was only about 10 and no laundry basket . i could continue to go on and on but the owner knows all these problems as he’s been told plenty of times from previous customers. please be wary if booking this place as you will be very disappointed

The host was super lovely and very understanding of our mistake. The house was beautiful and well set up. Super spacious and lovely and peaceful. The pool was perfect. We loved everything about this place. Highly recommended. Thank you so much.

The pictures on booking.com are quite misrepresented as this is not even close to the expectation you would have after reading the description and the pictures

The miscommunication on part of owner and complete misrepresentation of an below average property The place is worn out and have spiders webs and cockroaches in the property which was not at all ideal One of the dining chair was broken and is a huge health and safety risk The toilet door doesn't even goes in the hinges so whenever someone is on the toilet seat the door swings open with the air, we had to use slippers to tuck under the door to hold it...what a pathetic experience The toilet bulb wasn't working when we check in so in the night, had to use the phone torch. While the beds were comfy, the ceiling fan didn't work in the night and it was 25 degrees in the house. Kids were sweaty and couldn't sleep The pool is worn out and has big round patches of chipped paint on the bottom which is not a very good sight The bathroom door still not fixed and was lied to by the owner to day, guests before you damaged it and we didn't have enough time to fix it. When I read other views this morning, one revier in May 2022 mentions that the bathroom door wasnt there. Another lie And to top it all, the property manager contact that was shared, when contacted to raise issues and ask for help, said he isn't even the property manager. Owner was not sorry at all with out experience and literally said since you have raised a complaint via booking.com, all comms should be communicated to them Disheartened, upset and very unsatisfactory

There were only 7 cups which was a bit minimalist. However, overall it was a very comfortable stay. The pool was a big hit with the family.
