Gostei de tudo, do acesso, da localização, da limpeza, tudo que foi disponibilizado e os móveis eram muito bonitos com uma sensação muito boa na estadia.

The location was really convenient to the Lido and the public beach. It was a bit more touristy than I expected, but so was the whole island, really. My expectations were off. The house was amazing. A bit more than we needed, with the formal dining room and the living room going mostly unused. Perfectly clean, lots of space, pretty well equipped, and it felt like someone's genuine home. Also had a nice view of the ocean from the second floor.

My wife thought the beds were a little too firm, but my son and I were fine with them. We were there in an unusual heat wave, and some fans would have been appreciated. Ceiling fans don't seem popular in Portugal, but they would have been perfect in this case. As it stood, we closed the shutters in the daytime to keep the sun out and opened the windows at night, and were usually pretty comfortable. I had to shower before bed a couple times to stave off the heat.

Exceptional stay at Antonio's House in Funchal, an accommodation full of character and located in an extremely convenient spot. Location: On Estrada Monumental, a street with many good restaurants and pubs to enjoy. Although it is not in the middle of the Old Town, it is still very convenient for casual dining and sightseeing (not to mention the numerous scuba diving centres within a short walk) Accommodation: Extremely spacious, with 2 fully equipped bathrooms including shower, bathtub and bidet. The house's decorations are full of character, with many accessories and ornaments from different cultures and time periods. There was even a functional piano! The historical character of the house is juxtaposed with the modern nature of the facilities, as the kitchen is equipped with a modern oven, microwave and dishwasher. Host: Our host was very friendly, meeting us on the first day to hand over the keys. He was also available later to help come show us where some household items were kept, and was helpful in recommending nearby places to visit and buy groceries.

"A home away from home." The host has put a lot of thought and effort into making this place comfortable. The property is close to public transport, a host of restaurants and supermarkets.

From Antonio's House easy to access the beach and the town. You can find restaurants, shops, pharmacy, bus stops in walking distance. The seaside is just 10 minutes walk. You can spend a great day on the Lido; it's pools, waterslide, access to the ocean, sunbed with parasol, restaurant, changing room offer all comfort and fun. Daniel, the manager of the house immediately contacted me after the booking, offering his help. He was greeting us at the house on arrival giving us the keys and showing around. He organised airport transport and private taxi to the mountain, also helped us with local programs. His experience as tour operator and his kindness made our stay very enjoyable.
