We very much enjoyed our (too-short) stay in Casa do Ti Massias. It was comfortable and very clean, and the welcome we received was lovely. It's located inside the fortress walls of a town (and region) with an interesting history, with walking paths and Vilar Formoso's amazing Frontier of Peace (Aristides de Sousa Mendes) Museum not far away. We highly recommend it.

I loved the historic nature of the home, being inside the fort walls and obviously of some heritage value. It was beautifully renovated. We really appreciated the welcome gifts of pastry and port! Given that it's located in a small town, parking in the square (20 metres from the villa) is very easy.

Such a great little apartment right in the centre of Almeida. Kitchen and living on the main floor, bathroom and bedroom including sitting area up one flight and then a beautiful terrace up another two small flights of stairs. We really enjoyed our stay and meeting the owners who were lovely people. The apartment is close to restaurants, coffee, museum and groceries.

Great location within the walls of the fort. Very friendly host, who met us when we arrived and who we bumped into during our stay and was there as we left. Handy cafe on the corner. Nice roof terrace.

I liked everything about this house. it’s right in the centre of the old town and above a lovely restaurant and bar. the walls are so thick it’s like walking into a cool haven. the shutters are double thickness and block out the light and any noise. I was there during a festival so it was noisy but I did not hear a thing. Americo and Gracia are fabulous hosts. the house has everything that is needed. I even cooked a meal for my friends. there is a dulce gusto coffee machine with pods but I took my own as well. the roof terrace is just amazing. I felt like I was looking over the roof tops from an episode of game of thrones. there is nothing that I did not like.

apartment is well equipped and spotless. owner lives across the way, so check in was very convenient. plenty of parking. WiFi worked great on the first two floors. rooftop deck is amazing! town of almeida is picturesque, warm, and welcoming. highly recommend a visit to Almeida and a stay at Casa do Ti Messias.
