Insufficient hot water- we were doing a Camino from Lisbon to Fatima and this was a convenient stop along the way. After doing a tiresome 12 mile walk we were looking forward to a hot bath to relieve aching muscles but insufficient hot water did not even permit 1 decent bath. V disappointing- we did ring the owner who did try to help but we give up as realised it would take too long to warm watertank up.

Rarely have I found such a stunningly decorated house, with so much love for detail. I will from now on appreciate a "broken" wall so much more, Miguel, the owner shows you a way to adore imperfection . Wherever you look, its a piece of art! The openness and all the trees inside are also incredible! And the bathtub with a view is stunning!

The house is indeed absolutely stunning and unique. Every piece is original and a designers dream. It has everything you need.

The house was absolutely freezing so instructions on how the heater works and a previsit to turn on the heating are essential if you go in winter.

A little gem of a place to stay, spacious, well decorated and most of all, comfortable and private.

No WiFi or often mobile reception, but that’s part of the charm. Cleaning could be improved in a couple of places but it is a very large space and overall it was clean.

as soon as we arrived the first thing that popped up was the pool … it was green so dirty it was full of bugs and foggy water. the second we entered the house which looked like a refurbished barn .. the walls were raw cement and everything was rusty .. the only place to wash ourselves was a rusty old bathtub on the first floor which looked so degraded the floor/ ceiling had loose boards and looked about to fall off.. no rail on the side of the stairs a tremendous hazard for anyone at night or any time.. no cellular connection whatsoever in the middle of nowhere. we stated these faults to the owner and he was rude to us and not humble at all .. didn’t stay at the house and I couldn’t cancel upon arrival with no internet connection.. didn’t get my money back and at the end even got a few messages from the owner insulting my intelligence and making fun of the fact that I got scammed .. an experience to forget .. am only sorry I didn’t stay long enough to take more fotos especially of the outside… a desgrace!

old world sophistication, unique decour and surroundings. if you get the chance you must stay here.you wont regret it. small convenience store and resturant close by

bedroom up a flight of stairs so guests must be very mobile. this is not a criticism as the bedroom is awesome like the rest of the house.

This is a unique gem of a place. It is a converted ruin hidden in the corner of a beautiful village. This gem is for those who appreciate disconnecting and finding silence. The romance is in the imperfections, if you love rustic quirky design and one of a kind spaces, this is for you.

Some extra love in the details would go a long way to adding to this space.
