Communication with owners was quite hard because they dont speak a word of EN. We arrived, as it was agreed at 3pm and couldnt get a response till 5pm, because nobody was even answering my telephone calls or my text messages. The house is covered in mold (you can see it in pictures below). Both of my parents (age 60+) have asthma and I just couldnt risk their health. Everything in the house,including furniture,bedsheet and other house appliances is very very old,dusty,rust,dirty and smelly. Sofa is covered with blankets and pillows who have terrible smell and are full of stains. Bedsheet are from the 19th century and also very smelly. After I uncovered my bed I even found a hair in it. Towels are also dirty and smelly. Bathroom is in bad condition aswell, not mentioning washing machine. House needs a complete renovation. We left after 5min and found something much cheaper in PDL (of course owners werent up for any kind of compensation). What shocked me the most, was the fact that after a couple of days I was getting nasty messages from owners,calling me all kind of names and threating me. Quite sad actually. I would not reccomend this accomodation.

Paulo made it so easy for us to check in to the property, even when we requested to check in earlier than his typical time! He had the place ready and the keys in the box as soon as we needed it, and was great about communicating that to us. Our power went out on our first night there, but he was happy to help walk us through how to fix it over the phone. The home itself has a wonderful backyard space available, and the bedrooms and living rooms were all very spacious! The house itself was incredible humid/moist, but Paulo has a dehumidifier there to help with that issue so that was also great.

The apartment was quite chilly in the evenings but there are extra blankets available to use so that helped lots. The laundry machine was a little difficult to figure out, and because the air was so damp we had an almost impossible time drying out our clothing but that was not at all the properties fault!! Just something to note about the stay itself.
