Quinta do Boição

The surroundings are absolutely gorgeous! Orange and olive trees, vineyards and hills. The pool is also nice and my boys absolutely loved the game room. We had rain the whole time so that room was a life saver. The host was also very nice and responsive to messages.

Not much. If anything it would have been nice to be able to rent or borrow pool towels (using the towels that come with the room is not allowed). There was five of us so we had to carry a bag half full of towels for the pool.

Well, the location is perfect. If you are with car (and you are with car if you are thinking to book this property) everything in the Lisbon area is accessible with less than hour driving, including Belem, Cascais and Sintra. Also, the village of Bucelas has everything you need for pleasant staying including supermarket, market and couple of restaurants (when in Chao do Prado - don't take the rabbit, it's uneadible). Also, despite the stable is just behind the house (we stayed in Casa Rita) there's absoutely no horses smell. The pool is nice (beware of stares). The host Ana Isabel - I ain't sure is she an owner or manager - is awesome - every little issue we had - she responded almost immideatly, despite the fact we never seen her, since the entire communication was through whatapp. Also, Simba the Golden retriever, that came to say hello each morning, is a huge benefit :) Oh, don't try to pet the horses - they bite :) - but Simba doesn't

The building is old. I mean old. Now when I'm saying old, I don't mean the walls or the windows or the floors - that's perfectly ok with me. But think of sewer. It's old. And smelly. Entire plumbing is old, the water flow is weak, the hot water is enough for 2-3 people to shower, after this you need to wait for water to be reheated (to tell the truth, there's a sign in the shower that warns about this fact, but that was unpleasant surprise). The kitchen facilities is old, the oven is gas powered and it seems that's older than me. It also can be room related, since our friends stayed in Casa Sara - and their kicthen has modern facilities. Oh, the breakfast. Don't take the breakfast. The breakfast is a some groceries for the nearest supermarket + fresh croissants in the morning. So basically you make sandwiches by yourself. I mean kinda ok but 10 euro per person I expect breakfasted to be served or at least buffet or something. But not this, no

The house was peaceful, with wonderful views and good facilities. There were horses, dogs and a swimming pool to relax by. Good value for money.

We weren't provided with any cleaning spray to wipe down the sink, worktops or tables after use which I think is very important for cleanliness and hygiene on a 5 night trip away. The villa was quite far outside of Lisbon, which is fine if it's what you expect - taxis can add up to be expensive although very easy to book.

Great place! Our house was good fit for us - family of 4. Surroundings were great, pool area + game room were nice. We had good privacy and place wasn't too crowded. We got excellent instructions and good communication from host for arrival.

At site there were no one who could speak English, but we managed it. We felt that breakfast was quite pricy for what we got. We only took it for first morning, and then shopped groceries in supermarkets around the town.

We had a wonderful stay at this tranquil and authentic property, nestled amidst vineyards and providing a perfect escape from the city noises. It felt like we were the only guests at the whole territory. Additionally, there is a great restaurant nearby.

Would be great to have mosquito nets on the windows.

Peaceful place in nature near the village and just 25 minutes from Lisbon. Pool and very spacious plot of land. Horses. The house was separated from others so absolute silence.

There was no dishwasher and washing machine. For a longer stay it would be helpful.

I didn’t receive information about what I can do or not do in the Quinta since is very big , you could easy enter in a restricted area but you don’t know if exist a restricted area
