We arrived very late die to flight delay and someone was waiting for us to give the keys and the initial explanations very friendly. This location is a little Paradise with a great garden full of Flowers. Lots of space within the house for our family of 6.

Welcome gifts we given at time of arrival. Garden is beautiful and atmosphere relaxing. Host was very communicative and everyone was very friendly and helpful. Nice view of the ocean in the distance.

Exceptional property with beautiful grounds and gardens. One of my favourite properties I have ever stayed at. Great location to explore the rest of the island. Thank you.

We like the views, overlooking the ocean and the city. The gardens were spectacular, even though we were off season. The house was more than what we expected in its character. Overall we were very pleased with the accommodation.

The single beds were hard, which were are uncomfortable to sleep on.

The garden of the property is absolutely outstanding. The house is large and very comfortable and the view is superb. The location is a little hard to find at first but the position is very good for accessing Ponta Delgada and other parts of the island.

The grounds of this old property are absolutely stunning. Wonderful gardens and a nice terrace for dining. Greenhouses where they grow their own pineapples. Easy parking. Our host was very kind in leaving us the best pineapple I've ever had and some fresh local cheese, biscuits (cookies) and English style muffins - all local Azorean products. It was very nice to have a washing machine and outside lines to dry our clothes. Excellent iron as well. The house was clean. Fresh flower arrangements were put out for us - nice touch. The agent, Maria, was exceptional. She even helped us book a car both in Sao Miguel and on the island of Terceira through local car rental companies - we were very grateful/

Oh dear...this is an old property with lots of old furniture inside and comfort was an issue. The bed frames being old and small is understandable and there were bed options so we could use a 2nd bedroom. The mattresses were not comfortable - you could feel the springs - I think new ones are needed. The pillows were very uncomfortable - a couple of softer ones would have been good. I think if you rent out a "home" with a full kitchen, you should leave a few basics - even just salt, pepper, olive oil and vinegar - enough to make a salad.

Beautiful and huge garden and good location with possibility to park your car for free and nice views from the terrace and balcony. The house is spacious. I would rate the exterior with 10 points but the interior with 2 points. 15 min drive by car to the airport.

The house is spacious and nice but the furniture is very old and not comfortable. Especially the beds are old and small for 2 people. In the whole house you can smell insecticide and you can find it in almost every corner or cupboard of the house. It is almost impossible to get rid of this smell also later from your personal belongings. In some rooms, especially in smaller house on the ground floor, the humidity is so high that you can smell it in addition to the smell of insecticide. The dishwasher works, which is a big plus, but all the dishes were not clean properly when we arrived, so we cleaned it ourselves. There are a lot of cockroaches around the house and some also inside, so we understand all the insecticide around. The bathroom in the main house on the ground floor was out of order during our stay. I am really sorry for this rating, but as we travel a lot we can compare it with other similarly priced accommodation. Even this was not the expensive one - the cleanliness you expect everywhere

Amazing, huge garden with ocean view! The house is beautiful, well equipped and in great location. The host was very nice and helpful, we received many tips and recommendations from Carlos who welcomed us at our arrival. Also, the beds are very comfortable.

We visited Quinta das Bolas December. The only thing that could be improved in the future is that the heating could be turned on before guests arrival. The house is very big and it took it a full day to get warmer inside after we turned on the heating.
