Nice cosy, calm village, no noise, easy to walk and park as hardly any cars. Fresh weather in summer except in the middle of the day in the sun.. Clean modern and convenient facilities. Comfortable beds. You have a place to eat, a place to dine, a bar and a tiny souvenir shop. This last one we did not investigate.

Everything was suitable and ready, only con could be no microwave, no shower soap, it had a botle fixed to the wall but you could tell previous guests had squeezed even the last bit mixing with water to get a last drop, as no shops in the village or nearby, so not a thing of last day bad luck. A problem entering at 3pm when instructions mention checkin starts at 3pm. We did not intend to swim in the river, but even though locals mentioned you could swim, we did not see anyone, and water was not crystal clear, and the ground seemed sleepery due to sediment. A part of these small, not a big thing, cons, it was a lovely stay in a pretty village. We also grabbed this apartment because it showed a small garden, but it is really on the back side, access from the river, not the appartment, and offers no seats.

The location, by the river and integrated with the village houses is very nice. The house has all the amenities of a modern apartment

During low season there are no shops in the village, so buy everything you need for breakfast and snacks beforehand. The same if you intend to cook.

I choose the house with Air Con but all AC are not working. I have contacted the host who promised to send someone to open it the next morning but no one came. Actually, we just need the AC in the evening when we have to close all the windows. During the day, we have to open the windows but many flies were coming in. The apartment itself is very clean inside. However, the surroundings and the rest of the house need a bit of more cleaning and arrangements. It looks abandoned , a bit scary when we just arrived. However, the village is very nice with cheerful villagers

Location, traditional architecture, functional, airy and lightly, close to the river!

Everything! The house had EVERYTHING you needed or more. Also the location was great. The neighbours were sooo helpful as they dropped off some food . Loved the beautiful river & the these old buildings. The owner gave us some suggestions about the walking tracks & etc. Now I feel I have to study Portuguese & want to retire there.
