InSide Furnas

Filipe was a fantastic host - we appreciated the coffee and local bread/ muffins left for us. The house was very clean and comfortable. Was nice to have a washing machine. TV was great. Location was perfect to walk into Furnas. Any comment or suggestion we made to Filipe was dealt with immediately, you can tell he really really wants his guests to be happy.

There was a leak in the upstairs shower room at some point which is probably fixed but there now needs to be good ventilation in that room as the house can smell mouldy when you get back at the end of the day - this is very typical throughout Furnas. I believe Filipe is now dealing with this so it wouldn't put me off booking again. A folder of must see/ restaurant suggestions etc would be a useful addition

Location was great to walk to everything of interest in Furnas. Large rooms. Outside space and washing machine a bonus

The apartment was perfect for our stay in Furnas and to explore the Eastern part of Sao Miguel. The location is very good, parking is possible right in front of the house, and everything is close by. The check-in process was easy and the hosts were very communicative and supportive. Also, they send us a link to a weather website which was very helpful.

It is very clean and nice place. The location is really good. Free parking space is just in front of the property. Close to all in the town. The patio would be perfect if we were there during summer!!

Twin room is a little small. There are no space for putting luggages in that room.

The location cannot be beat. It's walking distance to Terra Nostra park with a great restaurant around the corner although hours on off season needs are only for lunch and are short overall. Parking was easy in a lot nearby and the heating worked well. The laundry washer and dryer was essential for the second leg of our Azorean adventures. The local freshly baked sweet bread, jam, water, and snacks for the kids left for us was very much appreciated as we came in later and it served as a lovely breakfast the next morning. The host was always quick to respond and went out of his way to ensure that we had access to it as well.

The sofa in the living room was a bit saggy in the middle although it is more practical as a sofa bed. The stairs were nicely designed but probably would have been a baby hazard for a younger crawling baby or new toddler who might fall in between the steps accidentally. It was the first time my pre-schoolers had seen this so they were a bit scared at first but got used to it quickly. There were also a lot of bugs flying around the outside although that is expected for being so close to nature.
