Casa Lagosta

We have stayed in Olhão and the surrounding area a few times and this was the best trip yet. The house was spacious and well equipped, had everything we needed and more. We loved the area outside the kitchen for morning coffee and the rooftop terrace was perfect for lunch and afternoon naps on the sun loungers . Bedrooms were great, air-con was effective and beds were comfortable. The local contact Aline was lovely and very responsive. The house is located on a narrow residential street but 5 minutes walk away from shops, cafes etc. There is a small supermarket about 1 min away which stocks all the essentials including fresh bread in the morning. We didn’t have.a car and didn’t need one - used the train to Faro, Fuseta and Tavira. Also no problems using Uber. 5/10 minutes walking takes you to the sea front where there are plenty of good restaurants. We would love to stay here again next year.

Construction noise in a nearby house for the last 2 days of our stay - obviously not the fault of the owners of this property!

The House is very roomy and comfortable. Ideal for a winter break with a wood burner as well as air conditioner/ heaters. Location is ideal and quiet and central.

The access to the roof sun area is on a tight staircase and difficult for anyone with knee/hip issues. A little thing but rather annoying is that only one bin liner is left on arrival so you have to buy a full roll from the supermarket....not expensive but why not leave a few in the house!?

It is well looked after, cosy, ideal for us, in a very quiet street near to the marina and shops, etc.

Beautiful apartment in an amazing location. Very quiet, very comfortable beds, clean, great terrace and outside areas. Aline was lovely and responsive. Would definitely stay here again!

Just a small thing - we had to pay €15 to use the baby cot but the sheets that came with it were too small so we had to use one of the big bed sheets!

We had a fantastic stay at Casa Lagosta, the first week of September (despite slightly colder temperatures than expected that time of the year). Our intention was to explore the local area, Olhão and its surroundings - which went to plan. We visited Armona, Fuseta, Culatra, Farol and Tavira - either by train or ferries, or both! Beautiful villages / towns and beaches. The whole of East Algarve is a beautiful part of the world, having retained its original character, not crowded with tourists. The fresh local fish and seafood (in restaurants in Olhão and everywhere else) was absolutely spectacular. The house was clean, spacious, well equipped and in a quiet street. It felt homely and it was always so nice to come back to wind down in between our "trips". The main terrace was amazing, allowing us to have a cheeky rooftop lie-down in the sun or under the stars. Aline, the manager, was lovely, responsive and also swiftly resolved our little issue (a lost key).

The overall feel of the place, very cool and relaxing. Also a great location, no need for a car if you are prepared to us public transport which is excellent and on time.

Location-very central Spacious, air conditioning, cleanliness,lots of extras, pans,glasses, napkins etc Beautiful roof terrace , comfortable plentiful furniture,. Comfortable memory foam beds Two roomy bathrooms. Bluetooth speaker,great for listening to your own music.

Absolutely nothing, great accommodation, would definitely book again. A few stairs to negotiate to use roof terrace but definitely worth it.

with an amazing location, close to the market and town centre, Casa Lagosta was an amazing place for our family to explore Olhao. Cool, clean and comfortable it had everything we needed for a family of four. With two bathrooms and several terraces, we were never in each others way, but happy to hang out in the kitchen and terrace for family time.

Everything was fabulous, but some decent lights on the roof terrace would have been a cool touch.
